Ms. Motamed and Mrs. Kling took three teams to the Orange County Department of Ed on Saturday to participate in their second UC Davis C-STEM Competition, RoboPlay 2015. All three teams placed in the top 20. Team "Bot Runner" brought home 1ST PLACE in Southern California Region and SECOND PLACE in California. One of the robotic videos, "Dancing with the Bots" brought home FIRST PLACE in the choreography category. Needless to say, TeWinkle beat out every other Newport-Mesa middle school. Go Trojans!!
Big thank you to Ms. Motamed and Mrs. Kling for their dedication to the robotics efforts at TeWinkle. There is a reason they both received C-STEM Teacher of the Year 2014!!

Project Lead the Way
TeWinkle and Estancia were included in the OCDE Consortium grant award that will create a career pathways program that connects businesses, K–12 schools, and community colleges to better prepare students for the 21st century workplace. The partnerships funded by this grant will bring real-world experience and hands-on learning to our students, opening new bridges of opportunity from the classroom to success in college and careers. This is an exciting step for our students. To learn more, CLICK HERE.
